Art Auction Wine Event:  Join us for wine, delicious hors d’oeuvres and fine art at this special fundraising event. Local artists and artists in the Sunriver Art Fair generously donate pieces for a silent auction event, benefiting the SRWC philanthropy program. Please contact:

Birthday Lunch: This committee arranges a “no host” lunch for members with birthdays in the same month to gather for socialization, recognition and celebration of their birthday in a small group setting.

Book Clubs: If you enjoy reading and discussing interesting books, the book club is for you! In order to keep the group small and give everyone a chance to be involved, there are multiple groups that are limited to 12-15 people each. Please contact:

Box Tops for Education: Box Tops for Education is an easy way members of the SRWC can contribute philanthropically. Members are encouraged to collect box tops from various General Mills family of products that they use in everyday life. Box tops are collected at SRWC activities. Several times a year, one of our members drops them off at Three Rivers School. Each box top is worth 10 cents and can be redeemed by the school for cash.

Community Picnic: The Community Picnic is hosted by the SRWC and is open to all residents in the greater Sunriver area. Typically held in July, it is a great opportunity to gather with friends, meet neighbors and enjoy a summer evening. Reservations required. Please contact:

Dinner Club: The Dinner Club is a group of couples and individuals who share a passion for food – both cooking and eating! They meet in small groups at member’s homes once every 6-8 weeks for a special themed, shared menu. Please contact

Greeters: Greeters welcome all attendees at SRWC luncheons and events, giving special attention to new and potential members. For information, please contact:

Hearty Soles Hiking Group: This group hikes from April to October on various days of the week. Their hikes are usually more than 4 miles and include moderate to challenging increases in elevations. Please contact:

Loose Cannons: Activities for this group are strictly social in nature and there is no set day or time. Activities are dependent on current local events and the interests of members. The group has previously enjoyed dinner gatherings at area restaurants, theater, opera, and happy hour socials at member’s homes. This group is open to all women in the SRWC; it is NOT a couples group.  Please contact:

Lunch With Friends: This is an informal social group that meets for brown bag lunch and fellowship; usually held once each quarter. We encourage all members and those that are new to our community to join us.
Grab your yogurt, sandwich, whatever you like and a beverage, and join us for Lunch with Friends. If you haven’t been before or are new to the area, then do come and meet other SRWC club members. It’s free and a time for laughter and friendship.

Mid Soles Hiking:  This group hikes from April to October various days of the week.  Hikes are usually 4-8 miles in length with low to moderate elevation changes.

New Member Get Together: This is for new members to meet with the President and get to know each other.  You can learn about the SRWC and ask questions while enjoying refreshments.

Philanthropy Committee: This group oversees the selection of grant recipients and the distribution of the charitable funds raised by SRWC over the previous year. Grant applications are solicited from local nonprofits. The applications are reviewed, researched and selected by the Committee. Emphasis is given to South Deschutes County agencies and those organizations that work with and for children and families. For more information please contact Debbie Baker at

Soap Collection: This is another way for members to help the SRWC contribute philanthropically to the community. Members are encouraged to bring a bar of soap to SRWC gatherings and activities. The soap is then donated to Care & Share to distribute in monthly food boxes.

Soft Soles Walking Group: This group walks most weeks during the season (April to October). Walks are moderate and no more than 3 miles in length on relatively flat pathways or terrain. Please contact:

Special Projects: Want to Help? Contact the Activity Chairman listed below

  • Kid’s Day in The Village, Sherri Youmans
  • Winter Wear for Kids, Kelly Winch: Freezing temperatures and snow are on the way! Many children in Deschutes County do not have winter clothing to wear to school. The need is great and the SRWC has started collecting snow pants, jackets, boots, socks, gloves and hats at our Women’s Club luncheons. No time to shop, no problem! Make a monetary contribution which I can use to shop for specific items requested by Three Rivers and Rosland Elementary Schools. Please make checks payable to SRWC with a notation “Coats for Kids.” All donations are tax deductible! If you have any questions, contact Kathy Garofalo.

Sunriver Knitters: Sunriver Knitters work on individual projects, share information and enjoy fellowship. Their service project is knitting Chemo Care Caps for the Infusion Center at Bend Memorial Clinic, St. Charles Hospital Infusion Center and St. Charles Radiation Center. SRWC donates yarn for the chemo caps. To join please contact

Twilight Cinemas: Each year The Village holds ten (10) Twilight Cinema nights in The Village or at SHARC. As a fundraiser, the SRWC runs the refreshment booth (some refreshments are donated by local merchants). It’s a great way to enjoy an evening outside at the movies.

We Care: This program sends cards or notes expressing support, sympathy, encouragement, congratulations or other caring messages to our members. If you know of any member who could use a caring and supportive message due to illness, injury, who has had a family member pass away or who has been honored by their peers, etc. contact Susan Huseonica at

Winter Fun: The focus of this group is to find fun winter outdoor activities like snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, or ice skating, to encourage women to get out and enjoy the cool fresh air and each other. Contact:

Winter Gala: Held during the holiday season, the elegant Gala is the SRWC’s second largest fundraiser. This committee is responsible for planning, organizing, decorating, and all other facets of this great event, including obtaining sponsors and raffle items. Contact:
